BerlinA guided 90-minutes tour leads through the abandoned first German metro tunnel, a 295 m long experimental tunnel of the electrical equipment producer AEG, operational from 1897 to 1910. Tour operator: Berliner Unterwelten e.V..

ChicagoTours on Chicago's architecture by Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF). Learn about the history of the famous "L" system and how it has shaped the development of the surrounding buildings and districts within the Loop. Sao PauloThere's a program called "Conheça seu metrô" ("Know your metro"), which occurs always on Saturdays (in Portuguese). Two stations are selected for each Saturday. Email to servic@metrosp.com.br to show interest. The number of participants is limited. The tour begins with a lecture about the São Paulo Metro, its history and technologies, some data and precautions while you are inside the system. Then, the group will be shown around the supervision centre for lines 1, 2 and 3 near Vergueiro station and travel some metro section inside a train cab. Tour operator: Metro SP.
StockholmSince 1997, SL has been running regular guided tours of the art in the Stockholm Metro. The tours are in Swedish all year round, with English tours available in the summer. Each week, four or five stations are visited with an expert, qualified guide who will tell about the art, the architecture and the artists behind the works. There is no extra charge for the guided tours, but you will need a valid ticket in order to join. Tour operator: SL (metro operator).
