Metro Museums

An increasing number of cities appreciate the history of their subways with dedicated museums. Here's the Internet's most comprehensive list of metro-related museums.

In addition to full-blown metro museums, the list also includes rail and tram museums, as long as they have notable metro/subway sections. Some museums have gift shops attached to them (from small to very large), selling everything from books to fancy metro memorabilia. Some of them take online orders and send overseas.

Hours and admission rates are just here as a hint as they are prone to sudden changes. Some museums also might occasionally close for renovation for longer periods, so better doublecheck before visiting.
