The metro in Kazan was the first one newly built in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. So far, it has a handful of stations only, but all of them are spectacular. Extensions are on the way.
Automated voice in Russian: "Ostorozhno, dveri zakryvayutsya, sleduyushchaya stantsiya ..." (Attention, doors closing, next station is ...) and "Stantsiya ..., konechnaya, prosiba osvobodit? vagony i ne zabyvat? veshchi" ("... station -- terminal station, please leave the train and don't forget your belongings"). The announcements are also provided in Tatar language.
